Founder, Curnyn PT
Born and raised in Omaha, NE, Denny Dennis J. Curnyn has built an impressive career in physical therapy and athletic training. He earned his BS in Biology and an MA in Athletic Training from Western Michigan University, where he also worked as an athletic trainer. Later, he pursued a second BS in Physical Therapy at Grand Valley State University. During his physical therapy training, an internship in Texas sparked a love for the state, leading him to relocate to Fort Worth—a city he quickly embraced as home.
Determined to create a space that prioritized both patient care and therapist satisfaction, Denny founded his clinic in 1991. Formerly known as Sportcare Physical Therapy, Curnyn Physical Therapy has become the longest-running physical therapist-owned clinic in Fort Worth. With two convenient locations, it continues to provide exceptional care to the community. His journey began with a mission to break away from the corporate healthcare model and establish a practice driven by his core belief: a therapist-owned clinic fosters the ideal environment for high-quality care and positive outcomes.
Denny specializes in outpatient orthopedics and is deeply committed to achieving lasting results through a balance of manual therapy, exercise, and modality care. His dedication to continuing education ensures he stays at the forefront of innovative techniques, focusing on optimizing recovery time and patient outcomes.
Outside of his professional life, Denny cherishes time with his wife of 35 years and their three children. An avid golfer (and proud of it!), he spends much of his free time on the course. He’s also a lifelong Nebraska Cornhuskers fan, bringing his passion for sports full circle into every facet of his life.

VPCecily, a proud native Texan, has always called the DFW area home. Her introduction to the medical field began during college while working as a medical transcriptionist, all while earning her accounting degree at UTA. It was during this time that she met and married Denny while employed at a clinic in Fort Worth. Combining her passion for entrepreneurship with her accounting expertise, Cecily developed the foundation for Denny to establish his practice. Together, they opened Sportcare Physical Therapy in 1991, now known as Curnyn Physical Therapy. As Owner and Vice President, Cecily is dedicated to delivering exceptional care to every patient by fostering excellence within both the therapy team and support staff. Her mission has always been to deliver unparalleled service and outstanding results for patients and referring physicians alike. Outside of work, Cecily and Denny cherish time with their three children. She also enjoys golfing, reading, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Stars.

After trying out various roles over the years, he realized his true calling and returned to the clinic in the summer of 2015. This time, Nolan took on the responsibilities of marketing and physician relations, bringing fresh energy and dedication to the family business.
An avid golfer, Nolan strives to hit the course at least once a week, balancing work with his passion for the sport. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he proudly supports local teams, with the Dallas Stars and Dallas Cowboys topping his list of favorites. Craig began his physical therapy career in a small-town clinic, where he gained invaluable experience treating patients of all ages and conditions. This well-rounded start helped shape him into the versatile clinician he is today. While he enjoys working across the orthopedic spectrum, Craig has a particular passion for treating patients with vestibular and vertigo conditions.
Outside of work, Craig enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two sons. An avid traveler, he and his wife have set the ambitious goal of visiting all 50 states. Craig is also deeply involved in his church, where he and his wife host a young adult ministry from their home. When football season kicks off, he indulges in his love for fantasy football, fully admitting it takes up more time than it probably should.
